23 About Experience Look forward to trophy bass like this when you visit Mexico's Lake El Salto. By Bob Mehsikomer icture yourself with four or five close friends, all boarding a flight on your way to a real experience. That experience is Cardon Adventure Resort and Serena Residence in Mexico, places where monster bass will literally break your equip-ment, sailfish will fly as if they were kites, mako sharks patrol the waters and dorado are everywhere. This is exactly what you can expect if you decide to take my advice and enjoy a combination saltwater and bass adventure out of Cardon Mexico. The bass are the residents of the world famous Lake El Salto, home to many fish in the double- digit range with some of them topping the scales at more than 18 pounds. The fact is, just about every pro angler I know reflects the value of this lake in terms of delivering a new world record. In short, the bass there are huge. I have been fishing El Salto on and off for more than 15 years. I have fished it when the lake was at it fullest pool and also at its lowest. What I have learned in this process is what you will want to know in terms of ways to experience this in-credible lake.
